Here’s an email I sent this week that explains it all.
Dear Remarkable B+B=B$$ Readers,I’m writing to tell you that my site BookBlogBusiness.com is no longer operational. I decided to shut it down after some serious thought about where to place my focus online. I’ve always believed that there is no such thing as failure, only results. The results for B+B=B$$ indicated that it wasn’t a sustainable venture based on a number of factors. The main factor was the decreasing energy I have for writing in the blogging-for-writers space. We writers are traditionalists for the most part, stubborn, and slow to adopt change. I know a few of you made changes and I am gratified to see the results of your labors. But for the most part, my energy was largely devoted to changing the minds of those who really didn’t want to make the transition I and others have made leaving behind the traditional publishing model and embracing the digital authorpreneur model.I also believe there are other bloggers who are doing some great work in this area like Jonathan Fields and Paul Wolfe. If you are still looking for blogs that address this area, please check them out.I thank you for your patronage and your comments on the blog posts. As a professional writer, I appreciate the exchange of ideas and the camaraderie. So, what’s next for me?
I am still writing my Deeper Living blog at http://4-plates.com and this is where my online writing will be focused. My 54th birthday isn’t far off and I’m gaining a much clearer focus for where I want my online legacy to remain. The Deeper Living blog on 4-plates.com is where I’ll be for the foreseeable future.I’d be happy to see you over at Deeper Living.Be well, good luck, and I wish you the best.BarryP.S. If you’d like to reply or keep in touch, I’m at barry@4-plates.com and @4PlatesBlog on Twitter. Additionally, you can add me to your Google+ circles here.Peace, out.![]()
